Bio De Trog’s vegan bread conferred European V-Label

In response to the growing consumer demand for more plant-based products, an outspoken demand for more clarity with regard to vegan products has arisen. Vegan has, after all, grown into a widespread international trend. At the forefront of this movement in Belgium, EVA vzw is entering into partnerships with producers and distributors of plant-based foods. It is therefore only logical that organic bakery Biobakkerij De Trog is one, as Pur Pain and Bio De Trog are becoming more and more highly regarded internationally.
A well-balanced range of vegan bread products
When it comes to baking traditional organic bread, Biobakkerij De Trog’s highest priority is sustainability. We aim to make a unified contribution to minimising our carbon footprint and invest in animal well-being, biodiversity and plant-based food. In our wish to look future generations in the eye our skills as a baker are our greatest ally. Thanks to our age-old traditional craftsmanship we can respond to the demands of the future today with our tasty products. After all, there is no reason why vegan should not be delicious! The master bakers at our bread studio passionately went in search of delicious vegan creations prepared with honest ingredients, well-balanced with a view to creating a perfectly balanced, eco-conscious meal.

Wholemeal and wholegrain bread fit into a vegan diet perfectly! Nutritionists even recommend eating wholegrain bread to make sure that you get enough fibre, iron and protein.
Sourdough and yeast are vegan-proofed. Sourdough and yeast contain micro-organisms. Through their fermentation, they contribute to the rising of dough as well as the taste and the texture of the bread. Because these are single-cell species they are not part of the animal kingdom. All our vegan bread is free of bread improvers and it goes without saying that none of our vegan products contain any ingredients of an animal origin whatsoever. It can’t get any more vegan than this!
